Update on Covid-19
To all our Wonderful Patients,
Thank you so much for your patience and understanding whilst we have been closed due to New Zealand’s ongoing fight against Covid-19. Like you, we are immensely proud of our country’s efforts. We are also mindful that the battle has not been won yet, and we will be doing all we can to play our part in the coming months.
As New Zealand moves towards Alert Level 2, we have been provided with guidance by the Ministry of Health and the Dental Council of New Zealand regarding the provision of dental treatment.I am pleased to inform you that routine dental care, including orthodontic treatment, can recommence.
Due to the nature of our work, Orthodontic and Dental practices in New Zealand already have very robust cross infection control procedures in place. However, for your safety and ours, we have taken this opportunity to review all of our procedures. We have also been advised to introduced some new procedures which are specific to Covid-19. We know that many of these new procedures will seem strange at first. However, we would be grateful for your continued patience and understanding.
The new procedures centre around limiting the potential for viral transmission within the reception area, waiting rooms and within the surgeries themselves. They also facilitate accurate contact tracing. We will be contacting you over the next few weeks to book your next visit. This will be done in the order that we cancelled your last visit. However, if you have any breakages or concerns, please email us at email@example.com as soon as possible.
When we book your appointment, we will ask you some questions regarding your/your child’s health. If you arrive early for your visit, we would ask that you remain in your car until your appointment time. If possible, we would ask that you or your child comes in alone. Where, you feel this will not be possible please advise us in advance. We know that this step will feel strange, as we have always actively encouraged parents to join us. When you or your child enters, we would ask them to use the hand sanitiser available. We will then take your/your child’s temperature with a contactless thermometer. Our waiting rooms have been reconfigured to promote physical distancing. On leaving the surgery, our reception team will arrange your next visit. If this is done with your child and you subsequently wish to change the appointment, please phone or email us to do so.
