What to do if you have a breakage
Fixed braces are normally quite robust - they have to be able to withstand the hammering that they get in the mouth!
However, from time to time, a component may break. Usually it is a bracket or tube that has become unstuck from a tooth or a wire that has broken. Should part of your brace become loose, broken or lost please give us a call as it will need to be repaired.
If you run out of elastics, give us a call and we can pop some in the mail to you. Don't wait until your next visit. It is important to wear these as directed.
If you have a wire digging into your cheek a temporary solution is to use the wax provided. You will need to call us and arrange an appointment to have the wire trimmed.
